Therapeutic parenting

Therapeutic parenting differs from conventional parenting where you take things away from children and put them in time out.

Therapeutic parenting thinks about your experience of being parented; what you learnt and would like to take forward, but also what you want to let go.

We explore your journey into parenting, what your hopes were and are for the future.  What sort of messages your child will hold in mind about their childhood; and what you’d hope they would take forward into their parenting.

We think about what might get in the way of responding the way we want to; and how to work through these. You will become able to respond consistently, with playfulness, calmness, empathy, curiosity, empathy and confidence.
